The Western Ontario Chapter of Alpha Delta Phi was chartered at the 160th Convention in 1992. The Chapter was brought to life much through the efforts of Brothers from the Toronto Chapter.
While the Chapter has never been able to gain a substantial membership, the Brothers have nonetheless been of the highest quality, taking leadership positions in many of the University’s student offices.
In 1994, the Emerald Club was established to recognize the need for growth of Eell’s moral, social, and intellectual man beyond the years of academia. The Emerald Club takes the responsibility of making sure that traditions are maintained while giving the active body control of the Chapter’s future. Thus, alumni are given the opportunity to give back to the Fraternity they love, insuring the future of the Chapter.
The Chapter currently rents a house for meeting and social purposes, and continually fights to gain wider acceptance among a student population and University administration that is less than favorable to fraternities in general.
