WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY - ST. LOUIS, MO
The Eliot Affiliate was founded in the spring of 2012 with the intention of being an organization that builds well-rounded men that lead the community through our unique pledging process. We strive to develop our candidates socially, morally, physically, and intellectually.
Our affiliate has a strong literary tradition, keeping with our national tradition. Candidates keep their favorite novels with them, rather than pledge paddles. Our brothers are active readers, debaters, and orators a reading log is kept so that brothers may share their recent findings with one another. Aspiring educators and executive board members give fraternity-wide lectures on topics of their choosing part of our candidate education is learning through literature, as our founder, Samuel Eells, intended.
We believe in Greek Life at WashU. We want it to expand and continue to be a healthy part of the university.
On April 5, 2014 the Board of Governors of Alpha Delta Phi Fraternity unanimously recommended that the Fraternity grant a charter to the Eliot Affiliate at Washington University in St. Louis at the Fraternity's Annual Convention July 31 August 3, 2014.
